Mother’s of Special Children of NKY January 9, 2009 - Minutes –     Evelyn discussed Michelle P. Waiver Must be on SCL Waiver Goal of new waiver is to eventually be off SCL (due to extended waiting list) and get services via new waiver.  Most severe diagnosis will be handled first   Mary Pat is creating survey for MSC  Details and suggestions discussed It will be sent out via email unless requested otherwise.(replies are anonymous) Goal is to increase support attendance   Discussed retreat ideas for 2009 Do dinner outing only vs.overnight. MSC to pay $10 towards each dinner Suggestions are welcome   Evelyn suggested sending cards or call to non-active moms This was discussed in previous meetings as well. We will discuss with Corresponding Secretary, Pam Blackburn, and implement asap We will also send thank you card to church for opening their doors for our monthly mtngs.   We will continue bi-mthly lunch support meetings Joyce Bolton will call local restaurants for reservations   We need to re-distribute MSC support materials (ie:  brochures, cards, etc.)   Attendance: Annette Beck Mary Pat Halpan Evelyn Tolliver Ronnie Pingel Valerie Whisnant Joyce Bolton Mother’s of Special Children of NKY  FEBRUARY, 12, 2009 -MINUTES-     RETREAT TIME!! J– Pam will send out email for rsvps for dinner and/or overnight Feb. 28 at 7pm, Bonefish Pam is checking into rooms at Drawbridge Inn Please respond by Feb. 20 if you want to attend   MSC will send a card and donation to Erlanger Methodist Church thanking them for allowing us to use their building for our support meetings    MSC will distribute support group materials to local Pediatricians  Anyone interested in distributing business cards or pamphets, please let Pam or Valerie know.   We are looking into the follow speakers for our support group:  Sex Education Advocate (this will be for parents only) Michelle P.
