Mothers,
Joni, Andrew and Larry Meagher will be traveling back to California to finalize this phase of Andrew's ear surgery's.
As most of you may know, Andrew has treacher collins syndrome. Andrew was born without ears. Over the past few months they have flown him to California to undergo a series of operations. He received his first ear in the spring and his second in August. They will be performing this surgery to complete any touch ups that the doctor feels necessary to make his ears look like ours! Please keep the Meagher family in your prayers and don't forget Amanda too. She will be staying here with Grandma.
To understand more of Andrew's situation go to you can google - Med Por Ears. Go to the first link....it should say Miles' ears. Click in to this site. Go to phase #2. Andrew is on phase #2 at this time.
The Meagher family will be flying out on Tuesday, December 4th. Andrew's surgery will be on Wednesday, December 5th. The surgery will take about 2 hours per ear. Joni will update me at some point and I'll let everyone know something as soon as I hear.

Just a quick update to ask for everyone's prayers tomorrow. Mika is going into surgery for a scope and a colonoscopy. Her GI doctor is also going to take several biopsies of her whole gi track. She is scheduled to go in at 7 and come out around 10:10 a.m. She is going to have manometry done on her gi system. It is going to be a tough couple of days. She will come out of surgery with the manometry probes in several places and she will have to sit like that until sometime Friday afternoon. I will update more on what has been going on this past week. I am sorry if you have tried to call the room number that I last posted. We have moved rooms 3 times now so if you need me call my cell and I will let you know where we are at.
I have a lot to update. This stay has been very hard on me. I feel like I have been picked to pieces. I am sorry I haven't updated this week but I have not really felt like doing so. I promise after she gets out of surgery and things are settled I will post.

KATRINA BEAR DRIVE
Jill Burns started a Teddy Bear collection to send to the Katrina special needs children. She shippped
over 300 bears to special needs children that needed a lot of comfort. WAY TO GO JILL AND MOMS!!
JILL didn't stop there.. She personally spoke with families affected by Katrina and collected diapers and other items that were desperately needed for the special needs children and, thanks to local companies and a lots of MSC moms, had them shipped courtesy of DHL!!!
